Research
& Discovery
Feeding is a dominant
and sensitive concern for livestock farmers.
Livestock feeding concerns tend to increase especially where there's a dependency on imported stocks, due to the lack of resources & inaccessibility to locally-grown fodder.
It can affect negatively on:
Livestock Nutrition
& Health instability
Farm's Profits
Ecological Footprint

Feeding dependency
01
Does my herd's food is good for them?
02
How can I save on feeding costs?
03
How long will it take until the next feed supply will arrive?
*
Kasem lives in his family's farm, with his wife and 4 kids.
Kasem has a cattle herd of 163 dairy cows. This summer he counted 12 more young calves to join the herd.
He produces & sells milk for 2 dairies in the local province.

Problem Definition
How might we enhance
livestock feeding management for off-grid farmers?
We utilized valuable research insights, and ongoing discussions with the target audience, and potential end-users in order to focus our objectives.

Solution Development
A hydroponic fodder production system for off-grid growth.
Value Proposition >
-
Farmers can plan & manage livestock nutrition and feeding routines independently.
-
Improve and stabilize livestock health and produce.
-
Save on feeding costs
-
Operate efficiently.
-
Adopt a more eco-friendly feeding operation.
Product & UX Architecture, Sketching, Wireframing, Building Mockups & testing.
Solution Development >
How does it work?
An independent mobile
hydroponic system, powered by solar energy, is placed on the farm's site.
Farmers can always track & control their growth, by a simple digital interface.
Stable conscious feeding routines are increasing livestock health and the production yield. Farmers are fully in-charged of farm operations, resources & economics.
